A carbon-plated super shoe tuned for cadence and heel/midfoot runners. Impressively light (~170g for men’s US 9), 39.5/34.5 mm stack (5 mm drop), and a dual-foam setup with FF Leap (ATPU) above the plate for bounce and FF Turbo+ (PEBA) in the heel for a firmer, more stable landing.

Overview
The Ride
A quick, poppy forefoot and fast roll once you’re at uptempo–race paces. Compared with Edge Paris, the forefoot feels more “punchy”, with a smoother transition. The heel is surprisingly composed/stable for such a tall shoe. At easy paces it can feel stiff/slappy, but it comes alive from threshold through marathon efforts.
Fit & Feel
Generally true-to-size. Upper is very light and breathable with a thin tongue and saw-tooth laces that stay tied. Several notes: more toe-box height / midfoot volume than prior Edge (easier fit for some), but the upper can feel finicky—a few runners felt arch/midfoot pressure if laced too snug; best with a slightly looser tie. Lockdown is secure once dialed.
✓ Pros
- Ultra light with a lively, propulsive forefoot at speed
- Stable heel for a super shoe; confident grip/traction
- Breathable upper; fit feels roomier than prior Edge without sloppy feel
- Noticeable upgrade vs Edge Paris (more punch, smoother flow)
✗ Cons
- Upper fussiness (tongue/pressure if over-tightened)
- Fit may feel not roomy enough for wide/voluminous feet
- Exposed foam / thin rubber are a durability concern
Bottom Line
Best for: runners who like a high-cadence, quick-transition super shoe with poppy forefoot and a touch more heel stability, targeting 10K→marathon at brisk efforts
Consider alternatives if: you prefer a roomy forefoot, or are a stride/forefoot runner (consider the Metaspeed Sky Tokyo instead)
